Hi! In the Telangana Factories Act, if an employee, exempted from ESI limits, requires treatment and quarantine due to Covid-19, would this be considered as paid leave or loss of pay?
Telangana Factories Act does not prescribe Covid-19 special leave. It is for the company management to decide on sanctioning Covid-19 leave. Since Covid-19 was declared a pandemic disease, it is suggested that Covid-19 affected employees may be given paid leave for treatment and quarantine periods.
