Facing BGV Issues Due to a Closed Company: Should I Remove It from My Resume?

nikhil-ravan
Hi, my BGV failed in one of the MNCs due to my previous company. They are saying your previous company is on the suspected list. My previous company shut down in April 2018. I have all documents like salary slips, offer letter, relief letter, experience letter, Form 16, PF account number.

Solution for BGV Failure

So, what would be the solution to get placed in an MNC? Do I need to remove that experience from my resume? And where can I see a list of suspected companies?

Responsibility of Job Applicants for Previous Company Closure

A job applicant cannot be held responsible for the closure of the previous company mentioned in their resume, nor its inclusion in the suspicion list of the recruiting company according to its own perceptions, when they are able to prove their employment in that company with sufficient documentary evidence.

Legal Recourse for Canceled Appointments

The post is silent on whether the applicant is a mere prospective recruit or one permitted to join the MNC based on their acceptance of the offer of employment issued by it. If it is the latter case, the applicant can sue for compensation if their appointment is canceled solely on the basis of the said background verification (BGV) alone.
