Can Employees Opt Out of PF Deductions if Their Salary Exceeds the Ceiling?

Employee PF Membership Query

If an employee has joined a new organization and their salary exceeds the PF ceiling, they may not want to be a member of the PF and prefer not to have PF deductions from their salary. Is this possible, considering that in their previous company, PF was deducted?

Please suggest.

There is no such option for the employee, as per the EPF Act 1952. "Once a member, always a member"; however, the contribution can be limited to the ceiling amount.
