Am I Eligible for Gratuity If I Resign Just Before Completing 5 Years?

Hi everyone, I joined a company on the 4th of January 2016 in Noida and am resigning on the 28th of December 2020 (1 week left to complete 5 years).

So, am I eligible for gratuity?

Eligibility for Gratuity

For all employment benefits such as salary, increment, leave, bonus, and continuity of service, the notice period served by an exiting employee should be considered until their formal relieving from the organization. From 04-01-2016 to 28-12-2020, your total service amounts to 4 years, 11 months, and 24 days. Therefore, you are eligible for gratuity under the Payment of Gratuity Act, 1972.
