Navigating Job History: Should I Disclose My Brief 2-Month Experience to My Current Employer?

Hi, I joined a company this year during the lockdown period and had to leave within 2 months due to personal reasons. I informed my reporting manager and HR via email. They tried to convince me to stay, but I couldn't continue and left without serving the notice period. All these conversations with HR were through emails.

After 2 weeks, I got an opportunity and joined another company. I didn't mention my previous 2-month experience to my current employer.

Termination Letter Issue

Two months later, my previous company sent a termination letter with an incorrect last working day. Should I accept it even though the last working day is incorrect, or should I request a change in the LWD?

Disclosure of Previous Experience

Going forward, should I mention this 2-month experience and inform my current company about it? I am in a dilemma about whether to tell my current employer or not.

I am really worried about these two concerns. Please help me with this.

1) Your acceptance or refusal to accept the termination order does not make any difference as the Last Working Day (LWD) remains the same. You may request a change of LWD, but will the employer accept it, considering that you left them without serving the Notice Period (NP)?

2) It seems you have not mentioned this to your current employer. Are you a member of the Provident Fund (PF) now and in the previous organization? If so, the fact of your previous employment will be known when they log in for PF membership with the current organization. Otherwise, there is no compelling reason to disclose it now.

This is one pernicious practice these days; job-hopping and NP jumping have become very common due to hasty decisions, and later individuals find themselves in irretrievable situations.
