If any employee test Covid Positive & asked to be quarantined at home for at least 14 days. What would be the leave policy?

HR MANAGER2
Hi,

Please let me know if any employee tests positive for Covid and is asked to be quarantined at home for at least 14 days. What would be the leave policy in both cases:

1. If working from home
2. Due to a health condition that prevents working

Please help me out with this. Is there any specific law for paid 28 days leave in the case of COVID-19 for Delhi?

Hi, this is GK from Hyderabad working at a hospital. We are paying full salary for the entire 14-day quarantine period to all categories of employees.

On request, if any employee wishes to extend their quarantine period further:

1. If the employee has a balance of leaves, they will be deducted according to the employee's instructions. This means that beyond 14 days, employees cannot take leave for quarantine.

2. If the employee has no leave balance and wishes to extend the quarantine period, Loss of Pay (LOP) is the only option.

What if an employee was initially on quarantine because a family member tested positive? During this time, he also contracted the infection and tested positive himself, requiring an additional 14 days of quarantine. How should such cases be handled?

Thank you.
