We want to remove an employee from ESIC because the employee is exempted from ESIC, but a contribution was paid the previous month. Also, what is the procedure for removing the employee from ESIC? Kindly suggest in this regard.
While paying contributions for October, you can enter zero in the wages column with the reason stated as "Out of coverage," and the last working day as 30/09/2020. From next month onwards, his name will not appear.
It is deemed that the September 2020 contribution was paid in October. Now, the procedure will mark the employee as off on 30/09/2020, from the ESIC portal only. Legal issues are not associated with the ESIC portal application.
