Hi Shwetha,
Attrition rate for a particular Month may be calculated by using the following formaula.

Further to my previous post. In order to get the rate of Attrition you need to
Total no. of employees left the Organisation in that particular Month / Average no. of people employed by the Organisation during the particular month * %.
Forgeot to mention the %.

Hi Shweta,
Attrition Rate = No. of resigned of that month/ Available manpower * 100
For example, if in any of the starting day of previous month the manpower was 80 and during that month 5 resigned and 10 joined.. then on the last day of the month Manpower would be 80-5+10 = 85
So Attrition rate = 5/85*100
Hope, the query must been solved now..

Amit Seth.

the formula to calculate attrition per month is...
attrition rate= total no of resignations in a month
------------------------------------------ * 100
total no of employees in a month+
no of new joinees in a month- total resignations in a month

Attrition Rate = no. of employees leaving in the month/ total no.of employees on board that month*100
