Dear HR Fraternity members,
You are all aware that four Labour codes have received the President's assent, but the dates of applicability of these four Labour codes are yet to be published by the Ministry of Labour. Today's news is that the Principal Secretary of the Labour Department, Central, is working on draft rules for the four Labour Codes. It is tentatively said that these four labour codes will be implemented with effect from 1st April 2021. Many HR friends have gone through the four Labour Codes, and a few HR experts have expressed their opinions. However, no one has compared what exactly these four Labour Codes have changed from the existing ones to the new ones. I have tried to compare the New Code on Wages and the Industrial Relations Code with the current Wages Act and IR Acts respectively. The same is attached for your information.
