Background Verification Queries

What are the things asked by the current employer to the previous employer during background verification?

There is no standard format followed by companies; it is tailor-made based on the company's requirements. Generally, it seeks to obtain information on designation/nature of work, period worked, salary, conduct with others, how he/she performed in the job, specific reasons for leaving, and whether the company would consider rehiring in the future if a suitable opportunity arises.

1. Can I say that it is easy to hide my first company?
2. What if they find it in the future?
