Edli of Epf and group insurance of lic

Sir,
Our company has taken a group insurance scheme of LIC in lieu of EDLI of EPF. If the company now wants to join EDLI policy of EpF instead of LIC, what is the procedure? Which one is better and what are the advantages of one over other?
