Hi Friends, I am struggling with the issue of dual employment, and I am in a big problem. I received an offer from (KLM) company and need to join them. During the background verification process, they discovered an overlap in the joining and relieving dates of my previous two companies, which has become a significant issue. At that time, I didn't pay much attention and neglected to consider potential future problems. Let me explain the problem clearly.
Issue with Overlapping Employment Dates
In my previous company (ABC), the relieving date was 25th June 2019, and in the next company (XYZ), the joining date was also 25th June 2019, creating a serious issue. During my notice period at the first company, the second company required me to join immediately due to a resource shortage. When this discrepancy was highlighted during my exit from company (XYZ), they corrected the date on my experience letter and issued a new one. However, this change was not reflected in my offer letter. They mentioned that the same joining date was maintained in the Provident Fund (PF) records, so it cannot be altered. This was an oversight by the company (XYZ).
Seeking Resolution
I am not well-versed in HR policies, but this error was made by company (XYZ). How can I resolve this issue? This situation not only affects my current employment but could also pose a problem in the future with any company.
Please assist me.
