One of our employees has taken 15 days of leave due to fever, but ultimately, he suffered from COVID-19, and after 3 days, he passed away.

Eligibility for the EDLI Scheme

Therefore, we would like to inquire whether he is eligible for the EDLI scheme. Please provide your valuable suggestions on this matter.

Please clarify whether the deceased employee was on the rolls of the company at the time of death. Was he a member of EPF, EPS, and EDLI? Was he covered under ESI?
