Starting a New Business: How Do We Build a Strong HR Department for 60-70 Staff?

Dear Seniors, my friend and I are going to start a new business. Our staff strength will be 60-70. What are the foremost things to establish a good HR department in this firm? Please advise.

Can you provide more insight into the type of business and the company's status? For example, is it a partnership firm, a Partnership LLP, or a private limited company?

I presume you are manufacturing tiles, marbles, and sanitary wares! As you have a staff strength of more than 20 persons, you need to cover your establishment under the ESI Act and EPF & MP Act and ensure all eligible staff are covered under these statutes. All other relevant licenses, permits, and approvals from the Factory Inspector, Labour Inspector, Pollution Control Board, Geology Department (if applicable), and Panchayat/Municipality/Corporation (as the case may be) must be obtained. Set up a good HR department.
