Transitioning from Partnership to Sole Proprietorship: Can I Keep My ESIC & EPF Numbers?

m-s-rajshree-associates
Dear all, I want my partnership firm to be covered under the ESIC and EPF acts. Now, I want to convert it into a sole proprietor firm as another partner is resigning. Is there any way to keep the same ESIC & EPF registration numbers? What will be the process?

A Partnership Firm is a distinct entity registered under either the Partnership Act or the Companies Act (LLP). It represents a contract between the involved parties with specific conditions. On the other hand, a Proprietary business involves sole ownership.

If you wish to dissolve the Partnership Firm, you must surrender all registrations, licenses, codes, and NOCs to the relevant department. In the case of a proprietary business, you will be the sole proprietor. Upon establishment, you must apply for and secure all necessary registrations, licenses, codes, and NOCs under the business's name as the proprietor.

Please let me know if you need any further assistance with this matter.

Thank you.
