EPF Contribution Confusion: Has There Been an Update for August Deductions?

bpramakrishnan
As advised by PF authorities, for the last three months (i.e., May, June, and July), we have deducted a 10% EPF contribution from employees instead of 12%. Is there any further notification in this regard for the month of August deduction? Please let me know.

So far, no further notification has been issued. I don't think anything is in the pipeline either. Let me update as and when such a thing emerges in due course.

Please remember, all establishments have to revert to a 12% contribution rate as the reduced rate of 10% was applicable only for these three months, as no further extension seems to be forthcoming.

Kindly suggest. We have 20 laborers working on a daily wage rate of ₹593. Four persons worked for 26 days in a month, and their gross amount is ₹15,418. We deducted PF on ₹15,000. The rest of the persons worked for, say, 22 days at ₹593 per day, and their gross is ₹13,046. What should be the amount on which PF should be deducted?

For the month of August, the PMGKY scheme is also applicable. You can find more information on this on the ECR homepage.
