ESI voluntary registration - once you register for ESI/EPF then you have to take registration in the other also?

Hello All, I am a shopkeeper dealing in industrial spares from the last 15 years and is having an employee strength of 5 only.
I wanted to know two things -
a) Can I go for ESI voluntary registration as all my employees desired as such, and
b) If it is possible to take for ESIC voluntary registration then do I have to also register for PF, I mean is it mandatory that once you register for ESI/EPF then you have to take registration in other also??
Please help.

In ESIS there is no provision for voluntary registration. However, in PF you have it.
You can not have ESIS registration with 5 staff but you can have PF registration with 5 staff on voluntary basis with consent of you and majority of your employees.

Thanks Akhil. Just one more thing out of curiosity if i have 10 employees and i mandatorily register for ESIC (10 employees in Odisha state), then should i have to take PF registration also although my employee strength is below 20, I mean is it mandatory then?

You need not to have PF. It is not mandatory to you. But you can go voluntarily as I told earlier.

I am Jigar Prajapati, HR from Shiv Kailash Construction Company (Construction Industry).
We are working for oil and gas pipeline projects across India. Our company head office Bhopal, Ahmedabad Gujarat. (Non Covered ESIC Zone) But our company has many projects where ESIC is applicable locations. we have PF and ESIC mandatory while submitting bills so in such case how can I have many project positions in ESIC. How to Register in ESIC Portal and Generate Company ESIC Number.
Please help.
