Salary Payment Issues in a Private Limited Company
I am an employee of a Private Limited Company based in Kolkata, India. The company has a total employee strength of 6, including me. My monthly salary is Rs. 50,000, and my take-home after deductions is Rs. 47,892. I joined this company in February 2020. To date, I have received my salary for the months of February and March. The company has paid 50% of the salary for April 2020. Subsequently, they paid the full salary for May in fragments. Currently, the 50% salary for April is pending, along with the full 100% salaries for June and July.
Efforts to Resolve Salary Delays
I have requested the company multiple times to pay the outstanding salary, but they continue to delay. While other employees received 50% of one month's salary, I have not received any payment. There is uncertainty regarding when the pending salaries will be cleared. If they terminate my employment, I fear they may not settle the dues, as experienced by other employees who were not paid upon termination. Without this salary, I struggle to sustain my livelihood and cannot afford legal expenses. What actions should I take in this situation?
