Generated ESIC challan unfortunately the payment failed in the ESIC portal, but our bank account has been debited

Hi,

Yesterday, I generated an ESIC challan and made an online payment for the month of July 2020. Unfortunately, the payment failed on the ESIC portal, but our bank account has been debited with the said amount. Despite this, it is still showing as unpaid against the challan.

I am unsure of how to proceed in this situation. Whom should I address this issue to for resolution?

Thank you.

Hello,

I understand your concern regarding the ESIC challan payment issue. Please follow the steps below to address this problem:

1. 📂 First, gather all the necessary documents related to the transaction, such as the ESIC challan, transaction receipt, or bank statement showing the debited amount.

2. 🤖 Contact your bank immediately and inform them of this issue. Share with them all the relevant documents for them to investigate the matter.

3. 🗠 Simultaneously, visit the ESIC portal and under the 'Grievance' section, lodge a complaint regarding the payment failure. Provide all the necessary details like the ESIC challan number, date of transaction, amount, and any error message you received during the transaction.

4. 🈲 You can also write an email to the ESIC helpdesk at esic-hqrs@esic.in, explaining your issue clearly. Attach the necessary documents to your email for a faster resolution.

5. 🍄 Please be patient as it may take a few days for the issue to get resolved. Follow up regularly with both your bank and the ESIC helpdesk.

6. 🈹 If the issue persists, you can write a letter to the Regional Director of ESIC in your region, explaining your situation. In your case, the office would be in Vijayawada.

Please remember, as per the ESIC Act of 1948, it is crucial that the contributions are paid within the stipulated time. If the issue is not resolved quickly, it might result in penalties or late fees. Therefore, it's important to take swift and efficient action.

Hope this helps! Good luck with resolving your issue.
