General Circular for COVID-19 Precautions
Dear Colleagues,
At the outset, we hope you and your family are in good health and staying safe during these unprecedented times. To combat the imminent danger threatening us and our loved ones, it is our social responsibility not only to avoid afflicting ourselves but also to prevent the spread of the virus in our proximity. Therefore, please inform the HR department or your Lead/HoD promptly if you experience any symptoms such as fever, a rising body temperature over 98.6°F/37°C, body pain, dysentery, dry cough, or difficulty in breathing. Of course, this should be in addition to seeking medical care. It is important to note that experiencing these initial symptoms or being asymptomatic does not necessarily mean an infection with the COVID virus unless confirmed by Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests conducted by experts.
Equally essential is our responsibility to curb the spread of the infection in and around our dwellings and en route to workplaces. Timely diagnosis, home quarantine, hospitalization, and adherence to stipulated SOPs are crucial in fighting the spread. These measures, if and when necessary, can save us from the risk of social ostracism and protect our own lives and those of our loved ones. We live in a time when curable vaccinations or drugs are still in the R&D stage. Therefore, proactive action is required from everyone. Please come forward and inform us immediately if you or anyone in your family, neighbors, or vicinity shows even the slightest indication of symptoms so that timely follow-up actions can be taken.
We seek your sincere cooperation and compliance without any delay. Negligence might result in avoidable unpleasant actions for acts of indiscipline, to say the least. We wish you a safe and healthy future ahead.
Regards,
HR.
