Confused About PF Exit Date: Should It Be Resignation Day or Last Transaction Day?

Hi, my friend joined the company in April 2019 and resigned on 29th Feb 2020. Now, he wants to update his exit date in the system. However, in his EPFO passbook, the transaction date is shown as 15th March 2020 (considering March 2020 contributions). Should he mark his exit date as 29th Feb 2020 or 15th March 2020? Please advise on this as soon as possible.

His date of exit will be 29th Feb 2020, and the Feb 2020 contribution is showing in your passbook transactions on 15th March 2020.
