Dear Senior , Kindly advice as per UP industrial disputes act 1947 - laid off compensation is 50% of Basic & DA to be given to laid off employee during lay off period but as per definition of Wages as per UP industrial disputes act 1947-wages -means all remuneration of caple being expessed including allowance.
kindly advice - laid compensation calculation will be based on Basis +DA or Gross salary for laid employee.

Dear VK,
The Lay Off Compensation shall be paid on that component of Wages which attract regular pay, Usually we pay on Basic + VDA
(Minimum Wages) which is higher and @ 50% of that amount,
Only ESI Contribution will be deducted on that amount,
