Confused About PF Contributions: Why Is My Employer's Share Less Than Promised?

kalpana-gupta
Hi,

My offer letter states x + 3600 salary per month. Out of this, in the offer letter, they have stated 1800 as the contribution to PF by the employer. In my salary slips, it shows x + 1800, where 1800 is the contribution to PF directly. When I log in to the EPFO website, the contribution per month by the employer is 550, and the employee is 1800. Also, the entries for my joining month and notice period month are not there.

Is that right? I do not understand this as this is my first time handling this.

Dear Kalpana Gupta,

I regret to inform you that you have not verified the facts before concluding that your employer has not remitted the EPF contribution of Rs1,800. Please download your EPF Pass Book to verify the details. There has been no underpayment as your employer has accurately contributed Rs550 to EPF and Rs1,250 to EPS. Kindly review your EPF Pass Book for clarification.

Thank you.
