Navigating PF Transfers: How Can My Friend Consolidate His Contributions and Check Pension Eligibility?

One of my friends has been working for more than 15 years in the private sector. He has frequently changed jobs, approximately every 3-4 years. Initially, for around 4.7 years, his EPF contribution was with a trust (at that time, UAN was not provided). Later, in another job where he worked for approximately 3 years, he was given a UAN. After switching to a new job, the new organization assigned him a separate UAN, which was later linked to his Aadhaar and is continuing.

The questions here are:
1) How can he transfer his PF contribution from the trust to his UAN?
2) How can he consolidate all amounts under one UAN?
3) How will he determine (according to PF records) whether he has completed 10 years of service for pension and other retirement benefits?

Dear Member,

Please use manual PF Transfer Form #13 (Revised) for transfers from the PF Trust. Regarding transfers from other PF Member IDs to the present PF Member ID, log in to UAN Member Portal and file an online Transfer Claim.

You can also ask him to obtain a Scheme certificate for the services rendered for every change in job and submit all scheme certificates to EPFO to avail pension under EPS.

Any member who puts in not less than 10 years of service/becomes a PF member is entitled to a pension under EPS.

He has not taken any service certificate from his previous employer, and it's hard to obtain one now. How can he ascertain that his service qualifies for a pension?

I am not referring to any service certificate. What I mentioned is a Scheme certificate, which is to be obtained from PF authorities. How many job changes has he made? That many scheme certificates need to be received from PF authorities. After attaining 58 years of age, he can surrender all certificates to PF authorities for monthly pension.
