Recently in June, the company announced a salary cut for employees based on different slabs for four months, assuming that the company would return to normal operations during this period. However, another lockdown has been announced in Chennai from June 19th to June 30th.
In this scenario, how should we proceed with processing salaries or applying the salary cut slabs? The initial assumption made by the company was that no further lockdowns would be imposed, but circumstances have changed.
