Can We Register Former Employees for PF Contributions from Feb to June 2020?

Please help me to clarify. We are a new setup. We got the registration of the provident fund in late Feb-2020. Due to some reasons, we did not register our employees and pay the PF contributions. Now it's June, and I need to pay contributions from Feb-2020 till June-2020 and also register our employees. However, some of the employees have already left our organization.

Kindly help me understand if we are able to register those employees who have already left us, or can we only register those employees who are currently working with us?

You can pay the contribution until their date of leaving. After that, you can mark them as exited on the respective dates of their departure. Therefore, the interest and penalty will only be calculated until their exit dates.
