How Should I Redesign Our Salary Structure Without the Fixed Conveyance Allowance?

hr-servomax
Hi, I am working for a manufacturing company. Management has asked me to redesign the salary structure for service and sales employees. The current salary structure includes Basic, HRA, Conv (2500 fixed), and special allowance. Management has requested me to redefine the structure by eliminating the Conv concept. Employees can claim the Conv amount by submitting bills. Can anyone help me define the new salary structure? Thank you in advance.

Dear HR Servomax,

As an HR professional, you have been tasked with restructuring the salaries of your employees. When embarking on this restructuring process, it is essential to thoroughly study the Code on Wages. Should you have any queries regarding this code during your study, feel free to ask here, and you will receive the necessary answers.

No one can precisely define your salary structure on this platform, in my opinion. However, I can provide you with two key considerations to keep in mind while restructuring salaries:

1. The sum of Basic + DA (or Basic Consolidated) should be a minimum of 50% of the Gross salary.
2. Salary in Kind should not exceed 15% of the Gross salary.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.
