If in an appointment letter, it's written that all terms and conditions listed in the letter constitute a contract, are there any legal consequences in not joining the organization after accepting the appointment? Please help.

When you accept the job, you are expected to honor your commitment. But practically speaking, many people still switch jobs for various reasons.
