revision/reduction in gross salary in post lockdown scenario

If any company decides for a reduction in gross salary in post lock down scenario. how to proceed? is it permissible to go for a decrease in basic amount? how will that effect gratuity calculation.

The subject matter has come to the Forum many times earlier.
Company may like to defer some payments, and the balance need to be paid to employees
during post lock down scenario. Once the emoluments are fixed, HR can not reduce the amount
just like that. You can ask your management to defer some allowances, till the crisis are over.
