Am I Entitled to Compensation After a Sudden BPO Process Ramp Down? Seeking Legal Advice

manas-chatterji
I was working with one of the BPO companies for less than 2 months. Now the process has ramped down, and they don't need me anymore, even though I was the top Supervisor among 34 Supervisors. I also have the HR email stating, "Ramp down for some unforeseen circumstances," and call recordings too. Am I eligible for compensation? If yes, please let me know as soon as possible how I should legally address this situation.

Dear Manas,

There is no mention in the post about your monthly salary. However, the presumption that it would be Rs. 10,000 per month or above may not be wrong. In such a situation, you have to work out your legal remedy for compensation against the termination of your employment within two months of your service only through a Civil Suit based on the terms and conditions of unilateral termination mentioned in your contract of employment or appointment letter.
