Warning letter on leaving offic premises without permission and following the office order

clara 55
We have issued an office order in which employees were instructed not to leave the office without permission, but they are not following the instruction. They have been warned verbally, but the problem still persists.

Has the office order reached all employees?

Notice boards and employee email IDs can be used to communicate. Departmental heads can be tasked with ensuring adherence to the orders. Note down the names of violators and counsel them the first time, documenting it. Subsequently, if it happens with the same employee, they can be given a written warning and it should be recorded in their service documents. Involve the Head of Department (HOD) in this effort to ensure no employee leaves without prior written or oral permission.

Leaving the workplace without prior information and permission is an act of serious misconduct and punishable. Such indiscipline need not be condoned, ignored, or overlooked because the implications of any employee on duty and not found at the workplace and loitering outside workplace premises, as it were, are fraught with dangers such as accidents, offenses committed, etc. Hence, curb this unhelpful work practice.

Enforce service rules, take disciplinary action, namely caution, warning, suspension in that order.
