Red Zone employee - not coming since one week, should we deduct his salary from his absenteeism

Dear All,

Our employees are residing in a red zone but are able to come to the office. However, for whatever reason, one employee has not been coming for a week. Should we deduct his salary for this absence? Kindly reply.

If he is staying in the red zone, he is not expected to be moving around. So don't cut his salary. It won't be legally tenable.
