Sir, Is there any time/period limit for issuance of show cause notice or memo to a govt. employee in the govt. department for having been committed mistakes in files. please send the reply as its urgent.
There cannot be any hard and fast rule in matters relating to disciplinary action in general. Straight show-cause-notice would generally be issued if the alleged lapse is a very serious one. The question of initiating disciplinary action arises from the moment of detection of the lapse and the nature of the lapse as well.
