Maternity Leave and Annual Leave Calculation
I want to know if maternity leave should be considered as present for annual leave calculation even though she is covered by ESIC. As she is on leave, how can we consider her as present and give her PL for the said period as she is on rest?
As she is on maternity leave, her service is considered continuous, and she will also be eligible for gratuity. However, in my opinion, she is not eligible for PL during the maternity leave period. How is it possible to have the double benefit of maternity leave plus PL?
