Is It Fair for Employers to Deduct PF from Take-Home Pay Without Adding It to CTC? Seeking Advice on My Situation

tanya2109
In my CTC, the Employer PF contribution is not included (only the Employee PF is included), but my employer is deducting the Employer PF contribution from my take-home salary. Despite highlighting the issue multiple times, they are not acknowledging the problem. They are neither ready to pay my actual take-home nor adding the Employer's PF to the CTC. I am receiving Rs.21.6K p.a. less than the CTC and have been raising the issue, but I am given outright 'no revision required' replies.

Please suggest if my concern is legitimate and if there is any solution.

Employer PF Contribution Responsibility

Employer PF contribution is the responsibility of the employer. They can show it in CTC if they want, but it is the whole and sole responsibility of the employer to pay their share. Non-payment of the employer's share is an offense. Please take it up in writing with the employer.

EPF Statement Details

The EPF statement will show your share and the employer's share of PF. Proof that the employer is deducting the employer's share from the employee itself is important to substantiate your complaint/issue. If nothing is done by the employer, EPF can be contacted for redressal.
