New Leave Policy in My Organization
So, we have got this new policy in my organization! Until 2019, we used to get 30 leaves in a year, i.e., 2.5 leaves per month. At the end of every month, 2.5 leaves were added to our account. This was simple and easy to understand for every employee.
Pro-Rata Leave Calculation from 2020
From 2020, leaves will be added to the account on a pro-rata basis! 30 leaves in a year (same as 2019), i.e., 2.5 leaves per month, which translates to 0.08 leaves per day.
Now, if you take 1 day leave in a month, as per the pro-rata basis, instead of 2.5 leaves, you will get 2.42 (2.5-0.08) leaves. If you take 2 days off in a month, you will get 2.34 leaves.
Hope you guys understand what I am trying to say. I shared this because I found this something new. Is it followed in other organizations too?
