Why Is My Pension Contribution Zero Despite a Basic Salary Above Rs. 15,000? Can Anyone Help?

Amitraje
Dear Forum,

Could you please help me understand why my pension contribution is ZERO since joining? I can see only provident fund contributions credited on a monthly basis. I have attached an EPFO portal screenshot for your reference. Also, note that my Basic salary is above Rs. 15,000.

Thank you.

For employees with a salary of above Rs. 15,000, the pension is not applicable. The entire contribution payable by the employer will be credited to the employee's PF account. This is the practice as per the amendment of 2014.

As per my knowledge, if your age is above 58, then your entire contribution will go to PF, and no contribution to EPS.

Dear Friend,

In the attached notification of the PF office, there is no clause about zero pension. There should be at least Rs. 1,000 pension for the basic salary of Rs. 15,000.
