Struggling to Update Date of Exit on EPF Portal: How to Fix Employer's Contribution Error?

Hi Team, My Date of Exit (DOE) has not been updated by the employer. I am currently attempting to update my DOE in my UAN employee portal following the introduction of the new option of "Mark Exit." I have already completed the FnF Procedure with the company. My duration of employment was from 08-May-2017 to 02-Jun-2019. In my passbook, it indicates that the employer has also added the contribution for the month of June 2019. Ideally, I should update the DOE as 02-Jun-2019, however, the UAN portal only allows me to select dates from the month of May 2019. If I choose any date from May, there is a high likelihood that my request will be rejected, leading me to have to visit the EPFO Office. I kindly seek your advice on what steps I should take. Thank you.

In the EPF portal, the contribution paid in June shows, and the date of exit (DOE) would be 31/05/2019 or the actual date as may be.

Hi friends, I worked in my previous company from 01 Oct 2009 to 15 Jun 2017. I then joined another organization on 29 Jun 2017. However, my previous employer did not mark my Date of Exit despite my continuous follow-up and EPF grievance submissions.

Now, with the new facility, I am attempting to update my Date of Exit through the EPFO Portal. Unfortunately, I am facing difficulty in marking the correct Date of Exit due to my previous employer's contribution for the month of July 2017 in my account. The EPFO Portal is prompting me to enter a date in July 2017.

My date of joining in my current organization was 29 Jun 2017.

Please suggest what further steps I should take.

Dear Thangavel.r.,

You have to check the previous EPFO passbook to verify the last contribution and the corresponding month. After confirming the details, please update the last date accordingly.

Yes, I already checked. My previous employer made the last contribution in July 2017, but I was relieved in June 2017. In July 2017, I received two contributions (one from the previous organization and one from the current organization). I am unable to determine the Date of Exit (DOE) in June 2017.

In such cases, ask the member for UAN login at the members portal. There is an option to enter exit details, which can be approved by the concerned employer. In this system, it takes the exact date as per ECR filed. Once the member is able to submit the exit details, the employer has to approve it.
