Facing Termination Instead of a Relieving Letter: How Can I Protect My Work Record?

santosh-viswanadha
Hi All, I resigned from my current organization in November, and I have to serve a notice period of 2 months as per company norms. Yesterday, an issue occurred with my team. My team leader is blaming me because I am serving my notice period. No one will ask me about that issue, but my HR department got to know about it, and they are planning to issue a termination letter instead of a relieving letter at the time of my departure. I received this news from one of my teammates.

How to Resolve the Issue

Kindly suggest how I can resolve this problem. If I receive a termination letter, my 3.6 years of experience in this organization with a good impression will be lost. Please advise me on what steps to take now.

Thank you.

Hi,

What was the issue, and what was your role in that issue? If you have no connection, then wait for the relieving letter. If termination is issued, then don't sign and explain to your HR that you were not part of that. Do not volunteer yourself; ask your HR whether they have a plan to issue you a termination.
