Laid Off Without Notice: How Can I Request a Full Month's Salary from My CEO?

Syed#Yusuf
Hi there, I need urgent help regarding my salary. My company recently decided to remove some employees due to business losses. They made this sudden decision and let us go. They mentioned that they would only be able to provide an extra 15 days' salary for the upcoming month.

As far as I am aware, if a company terminates an employee without notice, they are required to pay at least two months' salary. Therefore, I am planning to write an email to the company's CEO. Can anyone assist me in drafting the email correctly, so that I can request at least a full month's salary?

Thank you.

Understanding Employment Terms

What were your employment terms—were you on a permanent role, contract, or on probation? It's not clear. Please review your employment terms upon separation/exit.

Communicating with the CEO

Regardless of the situation, you can write an email to your CEO explaining how this sudden separation without any advance notice has significantly impacted your family and your children's education. Highlight the difficulties caused by the loss of employment and request monetary consideration as per the employment terms.

Moving Forward

Additionally, keep moving forward and search for other job opportunities. Don't perceive this as the end of your career. There will be more opportunities in the market; you just need to find the right one for you.
