How Can I Fix a Mistake with Employee UANs in EPF Filing? Seeking Advice from Seniors

Dear Seniors,

I filed the ECR of EPF, and after filling it, I realized there was a mistake. The error is that one member's UAN was wrongly mentioned and that UAN was reallocated to another member who had left our organization. This error occurred three times.

Please suggest to me how I can correct this.

As per my knowledge, it is not possible to withdraw the amount from the wrong account (UAN). You should contribute the EPF amount to the correct UAN number once again.

You can file a grievance at the EPF portal. There is an option where you can apply for the revision of your ECR.

There is no other way to rectify online. You can only go through a manual process of adjusting your wrong remittances against the right UAN by submitting and proving the correct documents and proof.

Address your application to RPF Commissioner and communicate as per the guidance from EPF officials.
