Contractor with 15 Employees: What Registers Are Required and Which Acts Apply?

Please suggest, if a contractor has about 15 employees, what type of registers he needs to maintain and which acts are applicable to him.

As per your statement, the contractor has 15 staff. According to the contract act, if 20 or more staff exist, the contract act will be triggered. This is one perspective.

Next, the same contract has 15 staff working under the principal employer. If the supply is to various principal employers and the headcount exceeds 20+, he needs to obtain an RC.

Dear Sir,

It is a construction company and has only daily wage workers. No permanent worker is there. It uses daily wage workers and pays them on a daily basis.

To get construction work in the government sector, he is required to deposit ESI of the worker. So, I want to know, is it compulsory to deposit ESI for all daily wage workers, and is PF applicable or not.
