How Can I Enroll as a Welfare Officer Without Being Tied to an Organization?

Can an individual enroll without any organization for a welfare officer?

I am a postgraduate in MPM and work in HR. Now, I want to enroll myself for a welfare officer position.

Therefore, kindly advise on the procedure for enrollment.

Factories Act, 1948, Section 49: Welfare Officers

Please check the state government notification to ensure that your degree is recognized as a qualification for a welfare officer under the Act.

In every factory where five hundred or more workers are ordinarily employed, the occupier shall employ such a number of welfare officers as may be prescribed. The State Government may prescribe the duties, qualifications, and conditions of service for officers employed under sub-section (1).

Once employed in a factory, the management must inform the Inspector of Factories about the appointment of the Welfare Officer. Approval would be given based on the qualifications and conditions of service.
