Maternity Leave in Startups: Is Six Months Mandatory for All?

Can somebody explain the maternity leave policy (six months)? Is it mandatory for all startups to provide?

Kindly refer to the Maternity Act Amendment 2017. Yes, it is mandatory for every employer, especially those working in a startup, to avoid negative markings during auditing and due diligence. You have to maintain a muster roll for all female employees on a monthly basis and draft a policy that is fully compliant. If you want, I can help you with the maternity policy. Kindly revert back.

Startups have no exemption from labor laws. You should read the MB Act of 1961 and follow it.
