My boss asked me send my resignation even when I had already submitted my resignation

Hi,
I have submitted my resignation to my boss & after that he tried to convince me to not to do so....that time I said to him " I'll think & get back to you". After 15 days I called him to say that I will not be continuing but I'll sever my notice period, then he again asked me to send my resignation mail.
Is it right to ask for resignation even once submitted just because I took time to think?
Now he forwarded my 2nd resignation mail to HR for process.
so now I have to give my notice period from my 2nd resignation or should I consider my 1st date of resign??

Since the First Resignation Letter was neither Withdrawn by you, the Employee nor your Employer accepted or Not Accepted the same in writing , the Employer is Bound to Take a Decision on the First Letter tendering Resignation and the 2nd Letter of Resignation Filed for whatever Reason is to be Deemed Redundent.

Technically the first resignation date is what matters.
But if there is issue and date of second resignation does not affect your larger plans,then no point fighting for dates.
