Missed PF Contributions for 4 Months: How to Handle Arrears and Penalties?

I need to know if an employee's PF has not been uploaded consistently for 4 months. Due to the absence of an HR, the individuals responsible for uploading the data overlooked this candidate, which was discovered by the new HR. If I wish to upload the PF for the pending months, will I have to pay as arrears? Is a penalty applicable to the amount?
