Candidature Barred on No-Show for Future Openings - can I accept and reject the offer after 2-3 days?

Hi all, I am thinking to change job due to firing at current employment, I received offer letter from Company "A" and anticipating offer from dream Company "B".
The offer for "A" will expire shortly and "B" will most likely arrive...
Now If I accept the "A" for the safety, "A" has following clause in offer letter - "This offer letter shall stand revoked in case you fail to join within a week (7 days) of the agreed date, as agreed with your HR in writing. Also in such an event your candidature shall be barred from being considered for any future openings in Company A"
Question is - is this applicable for offer or joining date, can I accept and reject the offer after 2-3 days not wasting time of "A"...
My intention is not to compete for salary, its more from job security perspective.
