Hi all, I am thinking of changing jobs due to being fired from my current employment. I have received an offer letter from Company "A" and am anticipating an offer from my dream Company "B". The offer from "A" will expire shortly, and the offer from "B" will most likely arrive.
Now, if I accept the offer from "A" for safety, there is a clause in the offer letter stating, "This offer letter shall stand revoked in case you fail to join within a week (7 days) of the agreed date, as agreed with your HR in writing. Also, in such an event, your candidature shall be barred from being considered for any future openings in Company A."
My question is - is this clause applicable for the offer or the joining date? Can I accept and reject the offer after 2-3 days without wasting the time of Company "A"? My intention is not to compete for salary; it's more from a job security perspective.
