How to Fix a Wrong DOJ Entry in PF Portal When Previous Job Ended Later?

Kindly advise,

In our establishment, one employee wrongly updated the Date of Joining (DOJ) in the PF portal. The DOJ was entered as 01.09.2019, but the actual date of exit from the previous employment was 01.10.2019.

I have checked with the PF department and they have advised that we need to identify the discrepancy in the details. Is there any solution available to rectify this issue?

What was the correct date of joining (DOJ) according to you? Kindly write a letter to the EPFO field office requesting a change of DOJ and enclose your UAN ECR sheet as a reference showing the start of contributions for the specific employee.

There is a form called Joint Declaration by the Member and the Employer that you need to fill out and have signed by the employer before submitting it to the PF Office. The form is attached for reference.
