Can I take PL leave in probation period - After 1 and half year I am still on probation period

Sir, I work in a pharmaceutical company in the sales department as part of the sales team. After a year and a half, I am still on probation. Can I take PL leave during this period? The company does not allow me to take CL or SL leave. Whenever I request leave, they always suggest that I take LWP and do not permit me to take any other types of leave.

In the normal course, PL is applicable after completion of one year of service. During the probation period, employees will be allowed to take limited CL/SL only. I am not sure whether your company falls under the purview of the Shops and Establishment Act or the Factories Act. Your employer is bound to follow the leave rules as stipulated in the statutory acts.
