Hello Experts, I need your advice. I cleared an interview at a financial institution (private sector) and have been offered a job. The joining date is subject to a clean chit from the background verification company. I had given surety for a loan, and that person delayed payment, due to which the financial institution filed a case against the primary party and myself (one of the four surety parties). After the case, the loan amount was repaid, and the current status of the case is "Uncontested Disposed otherwise."

Impact of Background Verification on Job Offer

My question is, will it impact my job offer, as this case will appear as a case match to my name during background verification? Please suggest what I should do to ensure it does not impact my job offer.

The case is of civil nature and not criminal. Your company would have asked only about criminal cases pending, or convictions, etc., if any. So, to my mind, this case is not relevant.
